The distinct qualities of the natural spring water from Harrogate’s Tewit Well were first identified in 1571 by William Slingsby. His discovery drew hundreds of tourists to ‘take the waters,’ which were supposed to have therapeutic characteristics, and to this day, people from all over the globe visit the spa town to heal their body, mind, and spirit. Slingsby London Dry Gin aims to encapsulate the ‘Spirit of Harrogate,’ which is synonymous with the town’s gorgeous and healing environment, and put it in a bottle for you to enjoy.

Co-founders Marcus Black and Mike Carthy were incredibly inspired by this story. So much so that they sought to develop a product that would honour the spa town’s history and capture the spirit and healing qualities of Harrogate. Before they settled on the ideal formula, it took them more than 15 months and 18 different iterations of gin.

The Spirit of Harrogate and Slingsby London Dry Gin officially debuted in 2015.
