About the Producer

John Cherry, founder of Locksley Distillery, brought decades of experience as a spirits buyer when he established the distillery in 2014. After a year of research and development in 2013, John and his wife turned their passion for gin into Locksley Distillery.

After over 100 attempts, recipe 61 encapsulated the flavour profile and adventurous spirit he was looking for, which led to the launch of Sir Robin of Locksley Gin and Locksley Distillery.

Locksley Distillery is an award-winning craft distillery located in Nottinghamshire, England. Inspired by the legend of Robin Hood, Locksley creates unique, flavoursome gins that encapsulate the spirit of adventure.

The Production Method

Sir Robin of Locksley Raspberry and Cardamom Gin begins with a smooth English gin base distilled with botanicals like juniper, coriander and citrus. Locally grown raspberries and whole cardamom pods are then carefully infused to release their vibrant flavours and added to the gin. Other botanicals include juniper, coriander, cassia, angelica, liquorice, pink grapefruit, dandelion and elderflower with the latter two being handpicked in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. They infuse approximately 30 fresh raspberries per bottle which results in a beautifully pink, fruit-forward and spiced gin.

Sir Robin of Locksley Raspberry & Cardamom Gin tantalizes the senses with aromas of ripe raspberry and fragrant cardamom.

The palate reveals layers of juicy raspberry and warming cardamom balanced by juniper, citrus and subtle spice.
