Granny Garbutt’s Gin
70cl, 42%
Granny Garbutt’s Gin is presented with pride by the Skerratt family.
Karen Skerratt opened a pop-up gin bar in Exeter after a successful foray into the street food market sector. Through talking with customers and some market research, she identified a great need in the market for a local gin and thus established, Exeter Gin Ltd.
After the successful launch of Exeter Gin, Karen and her team went on to create a whole range of yummy gins including Granny Garbutt’s inspired by the naughty Granny herself. Born in 1901 on the North Yorkshire moors, she had a vibrant personality and a penchant for mingling and mischief.
This refined small batch gin blends fourteen botanicals and is distilled using a ‘one shot’ method in a traditional copper still called ‘Isabelle.’ In line with Granny Garbutt’s Yorkshire heritage, some moorland botanicals, such as heather and gorse flower, are foraged locally and used in this classic gin, made in the traditional manner.
Tasting Note
Granny Garbutt’s Gin distillers’ special botanical blend offers this moorish gin a silky finish with delicate floral tones.
Sweet notes are generated by Dartmoor wildflower organic honey, which is sourced locally.
