One of the leading and most prestigious Port producers, Fonseca is known for its elegant, complex tawny ports made from high quality grapes sourced from the finest Douro Valley vineyards.

Viticulture and Production

The grapes for Fonseca 20 Year Old Aged Tawny Port come from vines grown on the steep, rocky hillsides of the Douro under hot, dry conditions perfect for producing concentrated, flavourful grapes destined for fine Port wine. The grapes are hand-picked, trodden in granite lagares, and vinified without temperature control to retain fresh, fruity flavours. Fonseca 20 Year Old is made by blending wines from different vintages to create the house style, then aged in oak casks for a minimum of 20 years.
