Daniel Seguinot Chablis Premier Cru: An Elegant Expression of Chablis Terroir
Daniel Seguinot Chablis Premier Cru is produced by the Seguinot family, who have been making wine in Chablis since the 1950s. Daniel Seguinot took over the family estate in the 1980s and has built an impeccable reputation for his expressive Chablis wines that elegantly capture the Kimmeridgian terroir.
Viticulture and Vinification
The Chardonnay grapes for Daniel Seguinot Chablis Premier Cru are harvested by hand from premier cru vineyards surrounding the villages of Chablis. These cool climate sites have ideal chalky, clay soils that produce wines with lively minerality. After a gentle pressing, the must is fermented and matured in stainless steel to preserve purity and finesse.
Tasting Notes
Daniel Seguinot Chablis Premier Cru is pale gold in colour.
The nose shows classic Chablis character – aromas of lemon, lime, green apple and wet stone.
The palate is medium-bodied and precise, with mineral-laced flavours of crisp citrus fruits, white peach and pear.
Vibrant acidity and a long, flinty finish complete this elegant Premier Cru.
