Nestled on the outskirts of Glasgow, this distillery draws its water from the Kilpatrick Hills and boasts a unique triple distillation process. This method, unlike the double distillation commonly employed in Scotland, results in a smoother, more delicate spirit with a remarkable depth of flavour.

Auchentoshan 12 Year Old is crafted with great care and attention to detail. The journey begins with carefully selected malted barley, which is milled and mashed to release the sugars necessary for fermentation. The resulting liquid, known as the wort, is then fermented using pure, yeast-rich water sourced from the distillery’s surroundings. The fermented wash is triple distilled in copper pot stills, ensuring the removal of impurities and allowing the rich flavours to develop.

Finally, the whisky is matured in a combination of American bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, imparting a unique complexity and character.
