Sharpham Dart Valley Reserve
Sharpham Dart Valley Reserve encapsulates England’s winemaking renaissance, born when Jersey cow farmers Maurice and Ruth Ash planted the seeds of Sharpham Vineyard in the 1960s. This lush Dart Valley terrain, blessed by ideal south-facing slopes and a unique mesoclimate, yielded Sharpham’s first wines in the 1980s.
Sandridge Barton
Today, each bottle of the popular Sharpham Dart Valley Reserve originates from the vines of Sandridge Barton, stewarding the viticulture legacy first sparked on the Sharpham Estate. This refined white wine blends the Dart Valley’s signature grape Madeleine Angevine with a kiss of Pinot Blanc, hand-harvested from Sandridge Barton’s vineyards overlooking the River Dart.
Winemaking
In the cellar, winemaker Duncan Schwab gently presses the whole grape bunches, initiating a temperature-controlled fermentation that retains the grapes’ delicate aromatics.
Tasting Note
An easy-drinking palate bursts with stone fruit and meyer lemon, wrapped in a subtle minerality that expresses the Dart Valley terrain in each sip.
A fruit-forward white brimming with juicy peach, pear, apple and hints of lemon thyme.
